About Us
About Us
Stonewall Sports Raleigh was founded in 2013 as an LGBTQIA+ community-based, 501(c)(3) sports organization that strives to raise funds for local non-profit organizations through organized sports. We value each player for who they are and what they bring to their chapter's community.
Our Mission
To provide an inclusive, low-cost, high-fun sports league that is managed as a non-profit with a philanthropic heart.
Our Vision
We believe every person should have the ability to feel comfortable playing sports. We also believe that organized groups have the ability and responsibility to support and give back to the community.
Our History
- Stonewall Raleigh's Founding Members: Jonathan Melton, Rainey Ashcraft, Tobias Perrino & Alex Gloss.
- Additional credit to the LGBT Center of Raleigh & Director James Miller for supporting Stonewall Sports Raleigh to function until becoming an independent 501(c)(3).
